DTSA Primary Update – Monday 11 April 2016 Message from Paul I hope colleagues had a good Easter break and return refreshed to face another busy term. DTSA is now in its fourth year. Many thanks to all those that have already returned their DTSA Packages Booking Form. It is really pleasing to see so many schools continuing to buy into our programmes and especially our main DTSA Partner Package. This runs over the financial year and gives you access to places at our termly DTSA morning meetings as well as significant discounts on all other courses, conferences, networks and CPD programmes. The DTSA Partner Package remains excellent value for money and it has been great to regularly see 60+ colleagues at our termly DTSA morning meetings at Breadsall Priory. Once again we have some very high quality speakers for the coming sessions with Dave Whittaker the next one on the morning of Wednesday 15 June – this really is one not to miss! Please have a look at our newly reconfigured DTSA homepage at dtsa.org.uk for a calendar and details of all our events. If you have not yet had chance to return your DTSA Packages Booking Form please return it to Nicola as soon as possible. We will get back to schools buying into the Peer Review Package in a few weeks’ time to discuss forming the triads. With so much happening politically and financially at both national and local levels, I will be sending a short separate monthly briefing to all headteachers of schools buying into the DTSA Partner Package starting next month. This will be called the ‘DTSA Partner Heads Briefing’ and amongst other things will pull together key announcements and developments from DfE; Ofsted; NCTL and main education unions. Please look out for this in your in-box. Further moves towards a school led system make it even more important that headteachers, as the leading educational professionals, take some control over new developments by collaborating and making meaning together. There are interesting times ahead. ‘The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking.’ Albert Einstein DTSA really is ‘by schools – for schools’. Thanks for your continued support. Best wishes Paul Dr Paul Briggs DTSA I look forward to seeing you at some of our events.
