OHSAS 18001 British Standard OHSAS 18001:2007 is the stamp of approval required by many organisations to demonstrate commitment to health and safety, which can improve your business. RoSPA can assess your health and safety management system against OHSAS 18001:2007 requirements; then if we’re satisfied that you comply we’ll issue a Certificate of Compliance. In addition, our unique added value service means that if you do not satisfy the criteria on your first attempt, we work with you to achieve compliance by telling you exactly where you are going wrong, and helping you put it right. We can also provide an OHSAS 18001:2007 Certificate of Compliance as part of a Quality Safety Audit (see p.30 for details). This integrated approach can save organisations seeking a full management system audit both time and money. ISO 39001 Compliance Achieving ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) certification is critical for many businesses in terms of winning new contracts, retaining existing ones and improving company perception. ISO 39001 is a new standard which covers Road Traffic Safety (RTS) management. Achieving the standard requires the development and implementation of an appropriate RTS policy, development of RTS objectives and action plans. This new standard builds on the foundation of Management of Occupational Road Risk, developed by RoSPA. RoSPA can assess your organisation for ISO 39001 compliance as an additional option with the MORR™ Review (p.90). If the consultant is satisfied that you comply we’ll issue a Certificate of Compliance. In addition, our unique added value service means that if you do not satisfy the criteria on your first attempt, we work with you to achieve compliance by telling you exactly where you are going wrong, and helping you put it right. Health & Safety Review This unique advisory service is ideal for small and medium size organisations that require an assessment of the effectiveness of their management of safety and health. The Health and Safety Review, which aligns with HSE’s new guidance on ‘managing for health and safety’, assesses policy, organisation and arrangements, creates an outline risk profile and uses this information to formulate a prioritised action plan with recommendations and a route map to help you move forward. This review is an extremely flexible service that can focus on any health and safety topic area, depending on your organisational objectives or on the recommendations and experiences of the RoSPA Consultant. There is no set delivery timeframe as this service is entirely driven by the needs of the client. The Review is designed particularly to enable directors to assess the effectiveness of their health and safety management systems as part of meeting their duty of care as outlined in the Health and Safety Executive/Institute of Directors’ Guidance INDG 417. 74 Telephone +44 (0)121 248 2233 Email training@rospa.com Visit www.rospa.com
