Driver Assessor Course Who should attend? Car, minibus and LGV drivers identified as capable of conducting assessments. For those with an up-to-date, proven defensive driving ability, exemptions will apply allowing delegates to complete the course in three days; please discuss with an advisor. JAUPT APPROVED CENTRE AC00090 This course is tailored to the type of vehicle in which the delegate intends to conduct assessments, making it appropriate for all vehicle types. What are the benefits? • Delegates will gain the skills to assess other drivers and identify professional training needs • The course will help to reduce the number of minor but costly accidents and incidents • Removes the need to bring in an external provider for driver assessment Course content: • Classroom presentation on the principles of safer driving and assessing • Vehicle inspection – demonstration and assessment drives • Duration: 3 - 4 day options available (exemptions apply - call for details) Delegates: LGV - up to 2 delegates PCV/car - up to 3 delegates Driver CPC: 14 - 21 hours dependent on course duration Development of fault finding, analysis and feedback techniques • Continuous assessment and development of driving skill NB: This course does not qualify an assessor to deliver driver training in cars and light vans unless the delegate is registered with the Driver Vehicle Standards Agency as an Approved Driving Instructor (Cat B). Driving Mentor Assessor & Training Who should attend? This course has been designed so that delegates can better define their roles within their organisation by enhancing their existing driving ability, assessment skills, and feedback technique. Upon successful completion, Driving Mentor/Assessors will feel confident in their ability to offer a unique driver support service within their organisation. Location: Birmingham or in-company. Duration - 5 days for up to 10 delegates The course is aimed at employees who are responsible for conducting in-house driving assessments.
