The Sophomore basketball team under the coaching of Mick Mattice surprised most people by winning the E.C.I.C. championship and producing a good season. After a good turn out, several players dropped the team cutting the squad down to ten boys. After a slow start, the boys won five of their last seven games. Tri-captains, Ralph Becicka, Randy Wall, and John Goodlove led the team in leadership while Gene Wilkerson continued to lead the team in points for most of the season. It is now in the record books that the ’74-’75 sophomore basketball team was one of the finest ever and champions of their league.
