SPOTLIGHT Message from Professor Vincent Cunnane, President LIT May 2017 I am delighted to bring you the first edition of Spotlight, our new newsletter especially for Guidance Counsellors. Spotlight has come about as a result of our engagement with Guidance Counsellors over the last year. It’s our new way of keeping you up to speed with life in LIT and news related to our programmes and events. We will have further new initiatives to bring you during the next academic year as a result of the feedback you’ve given us, but in the mean time I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your students well. Vincent Programme Development Programme development is ongoing at LIT, with many programmes currently undergoing programmatic reviews and new programmes in planning for 2018. We were particularly delighted to offer degree level education in Ennis for the first time this year with the commencement of our Level 7 BA degree in Social Care Work. This programme is now on the CAO for 2017 entry. For programmes in the School of Art & Design, please note ‘Restricted’ application no longer applies. This means that applicants can now avail of the late CAO closing date of May 1st. Note, the Portfolio Assessment is still a requirement for entry to these programmes.
