Harris Turns 80! C. 3 4 Mother Bobbie J. Harris celebrated 80 years of life, a few days after her October 15th birthday, with over 100 family members and friends. The celebration of life, themed “Life, Long Journeys are Led by God” was hosted and paid for by Harris’ grandchildren. Deacon Tyrone Harris gave the program’s devotion followed by selections sung by members of the True Love Praise Team. Granddaughter Cameara Harris Fowler recited the welcome and occasion. Gwen Albright performed a solo performance of “Amazing Grace,” followed by selections from the True Love Male Chorus. Sons Dr. Cameran Harris and Minister Tarvis Dancy spoke personally about their mother and Deacon Fred Mitchell gave his own special words about his life growing up under Harris’ watchful eyes. Harris’ female grandchildren performed and dinner was served before Harris gave her own gratitude to all those in attendance, especially mentioning her grandchildren and their work to make the day such a special one commemorating her 80 years on Earth. The program closed with Dr. Cameran Harris providing words of thanksgiving and blessings to all in attendance. 19
