A Message from the Executive Officer Dear HBRA Members, Mid March & the beginning of April were non-stop with a variety of events that included educational seminars: “Business Succession Planning,” “How to Grow your Business: Building Solid Relationships,” and “Contracts, Arbitration, Mediation & Dispute Resolution.” The Builders Day at the Capitol at the end of March - a well-attended event from all around the state. The April General Membership Meeting at Bender NEW showroom in Norwalk where we had a record number of attendees - over 140! See pages 6-8 for photos of the evening. And a joint discussion with the Builders & Realty Institute - over 20 HBRA members and guests attended, to hear builders from Fairfield and Westchester speak about the the state of affairs in both counties. See page 15 for photos. All around, the HBRA office and members have been busy! The next General Membership Meeting is an important one as we once again honor the Fairfield County Building Officials and present the Building Official of the Year. Be sure to register for the event that will be held May 4th at Clarke in South Norwalk. See page13 for details. The Building Hope Scholarship deadline is April 31st. Two four-year scholarships will be awarded, one for merit and one for financial need.
