Power Women Luncheon Colonel Lenderman was born the daughter of a Military Pilot. Women pilots were admitted into the Air Force in 1976 and this inspired her dreams as a young child. Colonel Lenderman leads more than 3,100 personnel, oversees assets totaling more than $4 billion, and controls an annual budget exceeding $130 million. Her presentation included the different missions, teams and planes at SAFB for groups including operations, wings, mission support, communications and medical support. Colonel Lenderman graduated from Duke University with an Electrical Engineering degree in 1993. She then attended Undergraduate Pilot Training at Columbus AFB, MS. She served tours at Grand Forks AFB, ND; Fairchild AFB, WA where she met her husband, which they both currently serves as Colonels in the US Air Force and Altus AFB, OK, flying the KC-135 Stratotanker. She performed Presidential Advance Agent duties for Air Force One and the 89th Presidential Airlift Group, commanded the 15th Air Mobility Operations Squadron at Travis AFB, CA and served as the Executive Officer to the Commander of Air Mobility Command at Scott AFB. She also served as Vice Commander of the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing in Southwest Asia and comes to Scott AFB from duties in the Pentagon. To this day Colonel Lenderman enjoys the community engagement that keeps her involved with civilians in our area while continuing her leadership lessons that begin with Listen, Love & Lift. The Colonel and teams at SAFB are preparing for a busy 2017 at SAFB celebrating their 100 year Centennial kicking off on January 6th and running thru October including the ever popular Air Show & Open House on June 10-11 featuring the USAF Thunderbirds. 8
