The relationships we have with our local Government Officials is very important and continues to become one of our biggest strengths. Chris Jones 2015 HBA President C.A. Jones This year we worked very closely with Madison County to bring the I-55 Corridor Project into a much better development code for our Builders, continuing talks with our State Representatives and Senators about employee classification has been productive with helpful changes to the Act and working with municipalities adoption of newer codes to remove mandatory residential fire sprinklers has proven that our common goals to keep our industry thriving in the Metro East is a team effort that has been successful. As our Committees and Councils focus on the events, regulations and information that keeps  Installation Banquet & PAC Pre-Party Invitations  Holiday Party Review  Industry/Business Resources Event  2015 Illinois Energy Conservation Code Information  2016 New Illinois Laws  2016 Spring Home Show Info the HBA moving forward we had quite a few of our members come together to help in other areas showing off their renovation skills at the Belleville Humane Society, awarding two $500 scholarships to deserving local ladies going into the trades, donating to the Collinsville Area Vocational Center and several other recent donations for deserving families for the holidays. A few new events were offered bringing some new faces such as the High Octane Challenge at the Gateway Motorsports Kartplex and STL Cardinal Game gathering. We also had some firsts with luncheons featuring Mayor Patton from Edwardsville and Mayor Daughtery from Mascoutah. One of the biggest surprises probably was the lip sync entertainment at Trivia Night. Staff continues to serve our organization in a professional and efficient manner, please lean on them all you want. It has been an amazing year to be President of this organization. I greatly appreciate your support throughout this year and for your continued dedication to the HBA.
