In aid of GDA 8 On Sunday 14th May, supporters Josie and Matt Preston took on the Tewkesbury Half Marathon in aid of GDA. Their daughter Myla was born deaf and has been attending Cirencester Deaf Children's Club (CDCC).Josie said "When Myla was six weeks old she was diagnosed as profoundly deaf, and with no information on childhood deafness it was a very scary time for us. It is so important for children to connect with other deaf children; to know that they are not alone and also for families of deaf children to connect and to be able to share their experiences and support each other." Together they have raised £755 for GDA which is a wonderful achievement. Huge congratulations and thank you to them both for supporting GDA. GDA Fundraising Ambassador and Trustee, Jackie Gloyn has had another busy few months hosting a Safari Dinner in February and a Bring & Buy Sale in May, in aid of GDA. Together her fundraising efforts have raised over £2,200 for GDA. A massive thank you and well done to Jackie and everyone who helped bring both events together. A shout out to the following groups and businesses which have recently donated to GDA. Our sincere thanks to: TSB Barnwood which donated £1,420 as part of our year-long charity partnership with them.
