A guest introduced by a member may, on having his or her name entered in the Guests’ Book, play on the course with that member for one day, but in no case may the same guest be introduced to the club more than 12 times in one year. The guest’s name and the appropriate Green Fee is to be paid to the Club Professional before commencement of play. Members shall be responsible for the conduct and dress of such guests, both in the Clubhouse and on the Course. PERMISSION BE OBTAINED FROM EITHER THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, CAPTAIN OR PRESIDENT TO INTRODUCE A GUEST ON ALL COMPETITION DAYS (EXCLUDING NOMINATED GUEST DAYS). N.B. No Member’s Guests on Saturdays (all day) or Sundays (am.) 1. The Rules of Golf 2016 as determined by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, Scotland will apply at all times. Local Rules are printed on the back of the score card. The Match Sub-Committee from time to time will introduce Temporary Local Rules in relation to special circumstances. 2. (a) New members are advised in their Information Pack that they (and their guests) are not obliged to play in Club Competitions initially, but it is expected of them when they have obtained their handicap and settled into the Club. New members may play in the competition field for handicap purposes but all members are reminded that no social play is permitted in the field on competition days. (b) On competition days, players must have their names entered on the sheet provided for the purpose and have paid their entrance moneys before the commencement of their round, under penalty of disqualification. (c) Members and guests report to the Pro Shop at least 15 minutes prior to hit off. This applies to Competition and Social days. (d) Prerequisite, concurrent daily competition must be entered prior to entry in Pro ball competition. (e) A member is entitled to book a tee time for - be it on the time sheet, or sheet for special events. 14
