2017 Featured Products High-Viz™ Hello, The background to High Visibility products is from my experience as a wildland firefighter. I was on a type II crew which was often tasked with mop-up. I wanted to reduce some of the hazards I experienced during mop-up. When working a wildland fire one often follows the line, which is where T-valves and wyes like to hide. I have tripped over move T-Valves and leader wyes than you can shake a stick at. The problem is that their color blends into the black. After multiple days on the same fire we just aren’t as sharp as we should be. No longer! Even during night ops, thanks to our ORALITE® reflective tape, the High Viz™ products jump out. The second problem I wanted to solve was finding these items inside of cabinetry. During first response, a firefighter is challenged with finding exactly the right tool without delay. Unfortunately, many engines are restocked in a haphazard manner, especially during a busy season.
