(New Families Only) Registration is on-going. dagna, became emotional, saying everything began at Griswold Park. “It’s bittersweet to be honored,” Maria Ardagna said. “We thank everyone who took part in making this happen.” Catcher Melissa Booth played with Vanessa and said the ceremony was moving and amazing. “She was always happy and outgoing,” Booth said. The ceremony was especially meaningful for Charlie Giuffrida of the Revere Recreation Department. “It means a lot personally and professionally,” Giuffrida said, “that for the rest of time this field will be named after my five-year best friend and middle school exgirlfriend.” Giuffrida said Vanessa was the best person that he’s ever met, adding that she was unique and full of life. “She was always laughing and had everyone feeling good,” Giuffrida said.
