(Advocate Photos by Tara Vocino) By Tara Vocino A Revere High School student who had one of the top three batting averages for the 2017-2018 season signed to play softball for the Wentworth Institute of Technology Lady Leopards on Tuesday afternoon. “I’m really excited to continue my softball career at Wentworth,” said Olivia McManus, Revere’s starting pitcher for the past four years. “I loved it here, but this will be a whole new experience.” McManus said she plans to study mechanical engineering at Wentworth. She also said she hopes to land a job with NASA after college as an aerospace engineer.
