Therefore, the Kiwanis Club together with city offi cials believed it would only be fi tting to hold a 5K walk in her memory. “We felt in our hearts that we wanted to do something,” said Kiwanis Club Secretary Marlene Zizza. “She was such an enormous part of the community.” Zizza said having a walk was the better option as opposed to a road race as a walk would maximize the number of participants. We are much stronger, caring and loving community because of her.
