By Tara Vocino T hree Horses and Heroes Foundation horses have been chosen to train for protests, crowd control and the like. Revere-based organization Horses and Heroes Foundation is a nonprofit organization that focuses on naming horses after officers from Massachusetts, who are recipients of the Trooper Hanna Award. Named after George L. Hanna, who lost his life during a motor vehicle stop on Feb. 26, 1983, this annual award applauds police officers who have displayed acts of bravery during their career.
